Believe it or not, there is actually a proper way to tie your espadrilles.
Many people may not be aware of it, but it’s a small adjustment that can make a big difference.
We have been tying our espadrilles the wrong way.
If you’re looking to tie your espadrilles the right way, there’s one crucial piece of information you need to know. There’s a little string on the heel of your shoe that can change the game for you. Most laced-up espadrilles, including those, feature this little string at the back. However, what they didn’t tell you is that you can enhance your espadrille-wearing experience by pulling the string out about 6 inches or so.
Check out the image below for reference.
Firstly, position the loop at the front of your espadrille shoe. Then, slide your foot into the loop and subsequently into the footbed. To secure your foot in the heel, tug on the strings located on either side of the loop. Next, wrap the strings around your ankle one to two times before completing the process with a bow.
You’ll be amazed at how much more secure and stable your foot feels in the shoe with this method.
